| Not visiting my own links? + annoying "You have visited 1843 of 1859 | |
| 2009-01-21 07:32 | Arnhemia | I had the feeling for quite some time now, that i'm no longer visiting my own links anymore while running the exchange in supermode (using ff2). Yesterday and today i did check, and it's true... yesterday even at the end of the day, i added visits to both my MMC city and my My3D one, while i was still believing i might be wrong and had missed seeing my links appear on the lists... not so, for i was right with my feeling!
(today i checked earlier, but again on both links i could add something to it even though i should not be able to, due to the "one unique IP visit per day" for both MMC and My3D. Is this now for everyone like that? That nobody is visiting their own link anymore, or is it a bug on my part? Another thing that is becoming really annoying, is the constant message "You have visited 1843 of 1859 active links." while being unable to visit those 'missing' links! I even think it's unfair to be unable to visit those, for they are only able to be visited by those who are quick enough after server update time (i'm still needing a VERY long time if i try visiting the links around midnight, but there appear to be some who are able to visit all the links even under 3 minutes! :-o ) |

Concerning active links, if game has a visit cap and it is reached, there is no point making anymore visits to the link, because visits will not be counted. I will improve active link count function when I have time to not count links that can not be visited anymore. Utopia |

As for my own links: How can i have visited them, when i do not get /com on my MMC link, but when i visit afterwards i get one (i checked before, and afterwards, using /xml)? And how do you explain the message "[08:31:33] Un nouvel habitant (Croidin) a rejoint Arnhemia !" on my My3D link, right after i 'visited' the bulk of links (the first visit here, so over 1600 links to visit) through here? I am having a static IP, so i could not have visited both my links twice with it, right!? (and as i explained above, i checked it out yesterday too, but i have no copies of that) If you say i visited them (and I DO BELIEVE YOU, for you can indeed check it in the logs on me!!), they were not counted as true visits by both sites... so, where does this go wrong? |
| 2009-01-21 15:42 | utopia.lv | I forgot to update Firefox 2 Supermode code with the new cookie information after MotionTwin changed it. Now it is fixed.
I am thinking about dropping Firefox 2 support soon. There are too few people using it and it takes extra time to develop and support two separate Supermode codes. |

"There are 2125 active links. In total you have visited 2029 links today." If it had been something like 20 missing links that you can not visit, it is okay for me beside from just annoying. But when the numbers are getting close to 10% of active links. I am worried that some day, you will never be able to visit more than 90% of all active links, and thus you can not renew your links. If you are on your way fixing it, please make it before they gets more than 10% Thanks and regards |

I changed requirements to the following percentage: 10% / 45% / 80%. When I have more free time, I'll rework the function how visit counter is spread around the dates. Currently if some links are visited before the server midnight, but the game has its reset later than that, visits will go to previous day counter. This will require exchange downtime of about 4 hours. |
