UniCreatures [game added] | |
2009-01-21 22:00 | Xron | Another adopt a pet game. There are two types of accounts, guest accounts and registered accounts. Registered accounts can retrieve passwords and may be offered more kinds of creatures than guests. The goal of the game is to hatch eggs and train your pet. To hatch eggs or make your pet evolve to the next stage, you need clicks. One click per IP (that resets in 20 hours) = One Evolution point
From the FAQ How Do I Evolve My Pets? Pets can evolve into more advanced creatures, and start with eggs. If you don't have any pets or eggs, you need to get an egg first (see above). Once you have an egg, go to the "My Creatures" page. Click on one of your eggs, and this will bring you to a page where you can get detailed information about your pet, including how many Evolution Points it has. Every time this page receives a visitor (that has not already viewed it in the last 20 hours), your pet will receive an Evolution Point. When your pet receives enough Evolution Points, there will be a clickable option that says "{PET} Can Evolve." If you click that option when it appears, your pet will evolve. Training appears to use another point system that isn't directly related to clicks. 2009-01-22 13:42 | irvineancalimon | I second that nomination. It might not be very popular yet. but with the battle system they have this game will grow very fast. |
2009-01-22 20:15 | Kaiki0 | A creature takes only 100 or so clicks to fully grow. Wouldn't it be a waste to give them 2,000 clicks a day? |
2009-01-22 20:34 | MisaMili | Utopia can set limit for those type of links.
Anyway, i dont think it will be added. Its not popular. utopia.lv; I think game needs to have at least 2500 players. Otherwise there will be too few game links registered |
2009-01-22 20:52 | utopia.lv | Thanks MisaMili, I still haven't decided if to add the game.
Currently it has 400 user accounts created. If within this month the count grows to 1000, I will add the game. :) |
2009-01-31 22:36 | Glennie | There are now 1768 members on Unicreatures as of January 31, 2009. :)

2009-02-01 02:32 | livelaughlovep | I have to agree, please put this up. It will be something fantastic :) |
2009-02-02 01:52 | Espeon | Agreed, should be put up. |
2009-02-02 07:18 | utopia.lv | Game added.
GMT -7. Click limit set to 100 a day. Spread the word! Edit: Limit raised to 500 visits a day. |
2009-02-25 03:31 | des43t | Request: Another format for links. To train the creatures, the format is:
http://unicreatures.com/train.php?id=#####&act=### (enter creature number in the first ##### and the training activity in the second ###) The creature has constantly regenerating "energy" which can be applied to certain training activities. If there was a certain training activity you wanted to focus on, there would be enough energy so that the link could be visited approximately once every 10-15 minutes. Would this be possible to implement? |
2009-02-25 08:25 | utopia.lv | Training must be done by creature owner.
There are various ways to do that automatically. The simplest is to use Firefox extension reload every, open training link and set automatic page refresh. This way it is possible to open in tabs many training links and set each tab to be refreshed after specific time period. |
2009-03-02 15:17 | ko0ties | I do that for training xD
I have a question, seeing as we dont need that many clicks to have our Uni Creatures Evolve fully, or even slightly, would it be possible to be able to change the uni creature link from one creature to another, so long as its still a uni creature?? |
2009-03-02 15:24 | utopia.lv | Sorry, changing the link is not possible and is not planned to implement.
But I agree, 530 visits a day (currently set value) for each UniCreatures link is too much. I will decrease it to 200 visits a day. |
2009-03-02 15:30 | ko0ties | Oh Okay, thats kool. Wishful thinking I guess
Thanks Anyways for an awesome site Also I have seen some rare/Exotic pets needing 300 Clicks, but 200 is a good number |
2009-03-02 16:38 | des43t | I disagree. There is one creature that requires 472 clicks to fully evolve, and another that needs 443 (Stone, not rare or exotic - open to everyone). Also, once the creature reaches enough clicks the next level, the clicks stop counting until the creature is evolved, meaning that the user would have to be right there to click at the moment the next level is reached, which can be very hard to do, which extends the wait even longer. I don't think it's reasonable to have to wait 2-3 days for a creature to fully evolve, when this site is capable of 2000 clicks in a day.

2009-03-02 16:51 | fortytwo | Honestly, I have to agree with des... The user has to be there to evolve the pet. |
2009-03-02 17:23 | utopia.lv | The waiting time can be spent for creature training. Also if creature evolves that fast, the interest to the game can be lost faster. |
2009-03-02 17:26 | des43t | Not every creature is going to be trained. Some are evolved to achieve an accomplishment point. |
2009-03-07 17:40 | Zamirathe | From the Unicreatures forums in short:
The admin is upset at the use of automated scripts to give evolution points and how now added a confirmation page to the link. The link to confirm leveling up the pet is completely random so it can not be rigged. So unless utopia script can click on a link inside the page, the clicks from here will no longer count. |
2009-03-08 03:06 | utopia.lv | UniCreatures will be back to the exchange soon. Visit count will be reduced to 50 visits a day.
New Supermode version will be needed, because of a small bug (alert box is displayed after each successful visit). |
2009-03-08 23:26 | utopia.lv | UniCreatures is back! |
2009-03-09 00:08 | des43t | Thank you for continuing to support Unicreatures. With the lower limit, the Unicreatures site shouldn't get overloaded, and now that they're requiring fewer clicks to evolve a pet, it shouldn't be so frustrating to the users to have to wait so long for the next level. Hopefully everyone will be happy now.

2009-04-10 06:07 | Dr.Doctor | It says UniCreatures is still down....
I saw ppl talking about some pets needing hundreds of points to evolve; I dunno if that's just something I missed or not, but here's a fansite that gives all the information about the pets, their stat-caps, and how many clicks they need for each stage ((and some other stuff, if you're interested)): http://sites.google.com/site/unifansite/families I agree that 50 visits a day is absolutely plenty. Most of the pets are fully evolved by then, and those who play UniCreatures also play UniFaction, where there's a handy forum thread that will finish up any lacking clicks easily. I noticed tho, when I go to click on a pet, it doesn't show me a url anywhere at any time.. Is that why the site's still not supported? ((extra eager to get this one up...)) |
2009-04-10 20:48 | des43t | I don't think Unicreatures will be re-added to the exchange. Acid, the Unicreatures site owner, has insisted that it be removed. You could always try to convince Acid to reconsider.

2009-06-04 02:46 | Match | But now, it's even easier to get clicks for pets, with Era 2 and all. You just gather "componnents",m and with the right componnent, it counts as a click ^^ |
2009-06-15 12:33 | KaiKit | Wait, Des. Are you saying that the site owner of UniCreatures asked to be removed from this exchange, but never was? |
2009-06-16 11:36 | des43t | Back when the Unicreatures site was much smaller, Acid, the Unicreatures site owner, felt that the Utopia exchange was creating a large percentage of their traffic, and demanded that Unicreatures be removed from the exchange, which it was.
Since their "new era", I doubt that any traffic from here would even be noticeable, since they themselves have created a system which requires many hits for many things (beyond just creature views which is what the Utopia site provides). |
2009-06-16 13:56 | utopia.lv | For long time UniCreatures game was disabled on the exchange.
Some time ago I readded the game, but to reduce traffic to UniCreatures server, UniCreatures links can be added only by donors. Currently there are only 8 active links. Utopia |
2009-06-21 17:04 | thegreenone | I don't see why it has been added at all. Using an automated system like Utopia is against UniCreatures' Terms Of Service. People could get their accounts banned for this.
"You may not, under any circumstances, use a web crawler, or automated system to generate clicks for UniCreatures, gather coins, evolve or train pets, or do combat." http://www.unicreatures.com/faq.php?about=tos Basically, you're still going against the site admin's wishes by allowing links to be added by anyone. |
