Skips All Links [disable NoScript] | |
2009-02-17 03:05 | City of MT | http://www.jetScreenshot.com/demo/20090216-bu9-82kb.jpg
I ran the supermode exchange a few times, each with the same results... |
2009-02-17 08:58 | cable | I have just come on line and am having the same problem. I have 105 links and seem to be stuck in a loop of repeatedly skipping all links. |
2009-02-17 12:24 | utopia.lv | Most probably it was DNS service problem - domain names were not resolved to IP addresses and thus no visits could be made. |
2009-02-17 15:01 | AmuseEmanc | I have the same problem.
What can we or you do now? |
2009-02-17 15:44 | utopia.lv | Try the following and tell me if that helps:
* press ctrl+F5, to force page reload altogether with running scripts * restart web browser * run command (Start-> Run) "ipconfig /flushdns" & restart web browser * try if pop-up mode works If nothing of those helps, please tell me if there is anything you installed, updated or done recently that might cause Supermode stop working (for example Windows Update). |
2009-02-17 15:52 | utopia.lv | If still no success you can try
* to reinstall Supermode extension. Don't forget to restart browser afterward. * make new Firefox profile and install Supermode extension only. |
2009-02-17 16:16 | Outsane | I've been having the same problems and I did everything above and then some and still no avail. I'm running the pop ups right now and that seems to be working. |
2009-02-17 17:01 | utopia.lv | "Cable" reported that some links are getting visited again.
Those who receive skips and are good with computer stuff, can try running Firefox with console enabled "firefox.exe -console". Console will show Supermode debug information and it might show why pages are getting skipped. Start -> Run "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -console |
2009-02-17 19:03 | AmuseEmanc | It could be it has to do with the latest "NoScript" Update. On my Laptop, connected to internet via the same connection, the problem doesn't appear. On that machine I did not update NoScript so far. |
2009-02-17 19:22 | AmuseEmanc | Yes, it seems it's NoScript causing the problem. When deactivating NoScript the Supermode extension is working.
Obviously NoScript doesn't like anymore the way Supermode is operating. I put utovia.lv to the positiv list, but that didn't help. I don't like to resign NoScript as well as Supermode :-( |
2009-02-17 20:54 | utopia.lv | I am glad you sorted that out!
Solution for noscript problem is to make a new Firefox profile for running Supermode. It will also improve Supermode speed. Here's how: 1. Close Firefox and run the following command (start -> run): firefox.exe -ProfileManager 2. Click "Create Profile" and enter "Supermode" and click "Finish". 3. Now you can create a new shortcut to run Firefox Supermode profile and it will work in parallel with your regular Firefox installation: firefox.exe -p Supermode -no-remote -url "http://utopia.lv/exchange/?do=supermode" 4. Launch the shortcut, install Supermode extension, restart. Please do not install any other add-ons, keep it clean! You can tune up some network parameters in about:config, Google it if you're interested. |
2009-02-17 22:53 | utopia.lv | Would be good if those who use the NoScript extension contacted the NoScript developer and infotmed about it blocking cross-site requests of Supermode extension.
p.s. Moved to help section. |
2009-02-18 10:52 | TinaX | Got the same Prob. here but if i allow scripts from utopia.lv in options i get only round about 20-30 skips every round.
After every round i disable no script for a moment and do the rest of the visits so i get the skipped ones done. Well no solution if you run SM automatic with IP change but at least you will visit round about 99% |
2009-02-19 17:54 | cable | I now have 2 Firefox profiles working simultaneously and the clean profile with only Supermode installed is so much faster. Well worth doing.
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction Utopia....you rock. :D |
2009-02-25 13:47 | AmuseEmanc | It seems, the latest NoScript version (1.9.0.6) does not cause this problem anymore. |
2009-02-25 14:43 | utopia.lv | Thanks for letting us know! |
