EkkythumpNo information anywhere. Not on their Facebook or Twitter pages either.
It was just the same the last time they went down.
Not a good way to do business.

zgeekThe problem is particular to you.
Are you talking about work or home computers? Have you tried visiting via a proxy server?
2010-12-03 14:58
miranda-im.myminicity.coma) It's my home PC
b) I tried a proxy, the same
c) my minicity is the only site with this problem

OrchidI wonder if it is her IP that is blocking her access to MyMiniCity. I know of some that do that and others on here that have had that problem. She should check with with her IP don't you think zgeek?
2010-12-04 00:18
miranda-im.myminicity.comI have not a static IP, I get a new IP each 24h from my ISP :|
2010-12-04 04:41
OrchidThey still have the ability to block a certain web site, regardless of IP changes. It happened to me when my son was younger, they accused him of spamming and blocks certain sites that he visited, regardless of IP changes

zgeek Talk to your Internet provider – they have the most info on your account
I’m with Orchid on this - you can’t hide from your provider.

A lot of proxy sites are transparent; you need to check what they are showing. Sometimes without fault, you can find your ip on a black list.

Games reset ever 24 hours…never come across an ISP that does that with dynamic IP. Your provider allocates dynamic IP as a form of resource management

Visit showmyip site over 25 hours and notice your ip address.

miranda-im.myminicity.comno, IP changed, I tested a proxy, no luck. :|
2010-12-09 02:22
OrchidIP change would not matter, nor would going through proxy's. Your Internet provider still knows which IP you've been given based on your computer. If you go to someone else house and try to run your Utopia account from there and see if it works, especially if it is a friend that can normally access MMC. My son was able to go through multiple proxy's around the world when he was able to hack an unnamed Federal Government Department several times, and our IP shut us down regardless of the changing of IP or going through Proxy's

Miranda-im, did you contact your Internet provider? They can see your data log, and see what transpires when you try MMC.

Did you try a private proxy server? Most public proxy servers are anything but private
