| Supermode stopped working with palemoon update | |
| 2014-10-17 11:26 | Zapped Sparky | I've been using palemoon for a while and so far no issues, however the recent update from 25.0.0 to 25.0.1 seems to have the effect of stopping supermode from working.The error I get is:
Sorry. Supermode is supported on Firefox only! Please switch the browser to Firefox or disable Supermode in options. Anyone have any ideas on how I can get it working again? |

I think it's a given you're running the latest version of Supermode. Have a look in this thread and see if there's anything pertinent to you: http://utopia.lv/exchange/?do=forum&w=view&pid=16454 Search for any other threads with useragent mentioned. Maybe run an older version with the latest bleeding edge version, this way you always have at least 1 stable version. |
| 2014-10-27 03:54 | Zapped Sparky | Hi zgeek, I think so (V2.9) as to the thread, I don't really see anything pertinent and the user agent stuff is a bit over my head :) However I did come across this: https://forum.palemoon.org/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=5932 which states
"Some Firefox extensions work and others don't. This is directly related to the GUID (the unique application identifier used by software). Pale Moon 25.0 changed its GUID from the Firefox one to one of its own. That means that from an extension point of view, Pale Moon is a "brand new application" that the extension was not initially written for." However there is good news, another palemoon update seems to have had the effect of it working again :) |

Did you notice? Status: Caused by extension restrictions Fix: Contact the extension author and have them update their extension to include support for Pale Moon. |

That said if it does fail again I'll pop a message here in this thread. Or would using the feedback on the help page be better? |
