using proxy | |
2009-06-11 11:18 | xDawn | hi i'm new here. can i use proxy in this site? and will all the visit on different proxy be added up all together?
ex. my real IP visited 2000 links then i use a proxy then visited 2000 links will my MMC link be having 4000 visits? :confused: |
2009-06-11 13:23 | Dan | If you log in with your profile whilst you use the proxy all your visits would count yes.
Your MMC does not get the amount of visits you do, but it gets the amount of visits the visitors to the exchange do. I hope this makes sense. I must rush now, Will help later if more is needed. Thanks Dan |
2009-06-11 23:18 | xDawn | i've tried using a proxy, but when i finished visiting 2000 links a different link from a user appears and not my link. hten i check my visited link it just stays on 2000 from my original IP. |
2009-06-12 11:28 | utopia.lv | Using public proxy servers to make visits is not a good idea.
Somebody else can access the same proxy server, change the name and add their own links. |
2010-04-01 09:33 | rusvill | Hi. I'm glad I found this thread after much searching. I'm aware that an IP that someone else used can show up with their settings on my computer. I looked at using a proxy today and found someone else's settings there, so someone has obviously done this. Utopia.lv recommends against it, which is okay - but why not? Is it just the frustration, or some other reason?
I have some other questions too. How does multi IP work? If I change my IP five times and visit all links, will I get 5x visits back? If I use 20 IPs and visit all links, will I get at least a few more than just one set of visits? What benefit to me is there of using Multi IP? Another question. I was checking who was online for chat just before and a name was in there twice. How does that happen? |
2010-04-01 11:44 | KRA92 | about the proxies:
it's not recommend, because you make the exchange with the proxy, but you can't know if the visits are counted as normally Proxies are slowly and when you make the Exchange with a "Transparent Proxy" you get the points for your profile, but all members don't get visits ... Because of that, Proxies in reguarly not "nice" to see I have some other questions too. How does multi IP work? It's a Ranking. For beeing higher in the List you have to do many exchanges. How to do it: Change your IP with reconnects (if you have dynamic IP) and make the Exchange with the new IP If I change my IP five times and visit all links, will I get 5x visits back? You don't get 5x visits back, because in total there are just ~4000-5000 active IP's and you can't get more clicks with just the Number of IP which is avaiable (1 IP = 1 Visit, more is not pòssible with the same IP) If I use 20 IPs and visit all links, will I get at least a few more than just one set of visits? What benefit to me is there of using Multi IP? Your Link will get in a higher Position in the "TOP LINK LIST" and you'll get some few more visits ... i can give you here a little example: Link on the 11th Place got these numbers: 2010-03-30 4776 2010-03-29 4114 Link on the 750th Place got these numbers: 2010-03-30 4567 2010-03-29 3925 So you can see, that higher you're in the List, some more visits you get ;) Another question. I was checking who was online for chat just before and a name was in there twice. How does that happen? It happens for example with the Script People, cause the time when you get a new IP is "so fast" that the Chatbox needs a bit time to recognize that the old IP is not more online, so it happens that some members are twice in the chatbox Hope it is now a bit clear and if you have question, feel free to ask ;) |
2010-04-01 12:57 | rusvill | Thanks. Not what I *WANTED* to hear but helpful anyway :D |

Actually, some of us have access to more than one computer/IP address at the same time, so we really can appear online more than once and it's not a mistake. |
