Supermode in FF2 | |
2008-11-27 08:49 | Quido | Hello.
At first I'd like to tell - Thanks for new version. But at second I've small bad feeling, because Supermode isn't allowed for FireFox 2. Why ? Thanks Quido |
2008-11-27 08:53 | diarree | * Removed Supermode support for Firefox 2 because it is hard for me to maintain two version of code up to date
No offense but, you would have known that if you would have taken 1 minute of your time to read Utopia's welcome message. ;) |
2008-11-27 09:02 | Quido | I know and I red it. But as I wrote - I'm little disappointed... and my post is in "Feedback" section ;-)
If other (some?, many?) users will agree with me, maybe You'll change Your mind :-) Quido |
2008-11-27 09:06 | diarree | Well, you kinda asked 'why' supermode wasn't allowed on FF2, and the answer was in Utopia's welcome message:
it is hard for me to maintain two version of code up to date So I just wanted to give you a answer :) |
2008-11-27 09:39 | Quido | Yes, You're right :-) Sorry for that - I deleted last sentence of my post and forgot the word "Why" :-/

2008-11-27 09:49 | baqq | firefox is mostly up-to-date, so most of users are always using the last version,... just one of reasons to upgrade :) |
2008-11-27 15:27 | Mortan | On top of that, unlike your typical next version, FireFox 3 uses less resources and it's faster than FireFox 2.
My old Pentium works better with FireFox 3. Here you have one more reason to update: Using Utopia exchange. |
2008-11-27 23:11 | TinaX | Well probably an idea i had yesterday if you wanna stay with FF2 like i do.
Install FF3 with a new profile and you can use both versions the same time in different windows. The reason why i don't do an update to FF3 is it slows down my whole system dramatically and i still didn't find a solution for that, so i only installed it for the few sites like Utopia here to be up to date but for the rest i will still use FF2...btw: only a few days ago there was an Update for FF2 so they still support it |
2008-11-28 07:01 | Arnhemia | I agree with the disappoinment feeling.
On some of the internet games i like playing, i still am unable to use FF3. Plus, even though FF uses little space on the harddisk, you still need to have enough free space to use it (as well for some of those games i mentioned). So i'm unable to install FF3 next to FF2, or some programs will start running soooooo slowly, that i would begin hating to use them. So, sadly to say... once i need to have Utopia run for more as an hour, in order to visit all the listed cities, i might have to stop using it (my time isn't so plentiful that i can afford that at times, and i'm still reluctant to leave my computer running when i'm not at home) :-( I do understand your reasons, but have sad feelings about it as well. With regards, Croidin (Arnhemia) |
2008-11-28 12:46 | utopia.lv | Firefox 2 Supermode is back. Enjoy!
Warm regards, Utopia |
2008-11-28 13:56 | Arnhemia | WOW, thanks a lot, Utopia! :-D |
