My account just got hacked, my original myminicity got replaced by 2 links: skyatos.myminicity.com stephax.myminicity.com I just added back my own link, could someone help me to change the password and delete the intruder's link? Thanks PS I deleted the intruder's link, I just need a password change now. |

when i logg in - after some run of exchanges - there are 3-4 other links in my profil. i delete them, but in next exchange they are alreday in my profil again. |
| 2009-07-07 06:27 | utopia.lv | All links and settings are IP address based. When you change IP address, it is normal to get IP address that has been previously used by another user.
Please do not confuse Profile settings and actual links and settings you see under Links section and Options section. Profile is independent of IP address and can be seen as a storage place for default settings you can load. The links and settings can not be changed remotely without gaining the access to IP address first. Again when you share IP addresses with other users it is very likely you will get IP address they have been using with all their links and settings. > byc To change the password please contact me via Feedback form and provide your e-mail address. |
| 2009-07-07 08:32 | utopia.lv | You can say that your account was hacked only if your profile settings were changed. Other settings like different links appearing under Links section can not be considered hacking.
When using dynamic IP addresses there is no owner for IP address and it is possible it will be shared among several exchange users. |
