2008-12-02 22:38

It expects refferer information: http://www.pokeplushies.com/feed/333184

Could be possible with Supermode.

Located in Kentucky Louisville

The clock on their web site is GMT -8
2008-12-02 23:21
tantravilleutopia, where do u see that information about time clock? just so I can look it up for myself when I find another one ^^ thx in advance <3
2009-01-14 09:28
Falzar FZFor their location, I think utopia looked up their server's IP which is 65.182.197.10, and checked the location off that.
and for the time, pp's site has a clock displayed at the bottom of the page, you can work out their time by that.
2009-01-19 08:32
Chevellepokeplushies do not benefit from any clicks that do not come from their own click exchange - they recently changed it
2009-01-20 00:59
Falzar FZI thought they only blocked clicks coming from Yarolds site?
2009-01-23 23:23
utopia.lvGame to be added soon.
2009-01-24 00:23
utopia.lvGame added. (GMT -8)
Accepts links in the following form: http://www.pokeplushies.com/feed/1057182
Spread the word!
2009-01-24 03:40
Falzar FZdoes it do both the "If you do want to level up this adoptable, then please click here." and the "click with ?act=doRareCandy&id=" that levels it?
2009-01-24 06:02
utopia.lvYes.
2009-01-24 11:24
Falzar FZQuoted when levelling pokeplushies.

Error: Something has gone wrong, please try again.
2009-01-24 12:20
utopia.lvCan you explain what did you quote? More details please.
My PokePlushie is already level 970. That was done only in 12 hours. :)

Utopia
2009-01-24 14:54
utopia.lvLooks like there is a cup of how many visits a day adoptable can receive. My stopped at 970, so I suppose visit cap is somewhere between 500 and 1000 visits a day.
2009-01-24 21:35
SolrayneAny idea for how long it takes before new levels will start appearing on an adoptable, once it's link has been added?
I added one to try it out, using the link format quoted above ( http://www.pokeplushies.com/feed/1059509 ), visit count here showing 265, but still no new level(s) added on the adoptable itself yet at the site. I do know that sometimes, it can take a little time for new levels to appear, and that could be all it is.... I just wanted to get an idea if possible, on how much time should it take, before some progress starts showing, from someone already using a Pokeplushie link here successfully. Thanks! :)
2009-01-24 21:39
utopia.lvFor my link previously new levels appeared immediately.
May be they changed something on their servers and it is the reason why also my levels does not increase anymore. Let's see what I can find out.
2009-01-24 21:47
utopia.lvThanks for reporting that.
They added code to the second link, so previous visit method does not work anymore.

1) http://www.pokeplushies.com/feed/1057255
2) http://www.pokeplushies.com/adoptables.php?act=doRareCandy&id=1057255&code=4695

Supermode extension needs to be updated to fix the situation. After that visits to PokePlushies links will be made only by Supermode users.

I'll update Supermode sometime next week. Till then the game will be disabled.
2009-01-24 22:27
SolrayneAhh, ok, thanks so much for that, I'll change to a different link until it is resolved then, and just wait to try again, once the needed changes are made.
2009-01-30 14:37
utopia.lvI did not have time to finish next Supermode version.
It is coming out no faster than next week.
2009-02-02 15:29
utopia.lvNew Supermode version released and now PokePlushies links are supported again.
Links can be visited only by Supermode extension users.
2009-02-02 16:59
utopia.lvGame temporary disabled.
On their website it shows: Error: We have upgraded our security, please log in to the forums again.
2009-02-02 18:36
utopia.lvIt is back now.
Daily visit count for each link set to 100 (to avoid banning).
2009-02-04 05:28
pipluploverThe game has added a security measure requiring an user to input letters.
2009-02-04 07:14
utopia.lvLeveling up works fine with Supermode.
Probably they added security measure to their internal exchange.
2009-02-04 17:08
utopia.lvSometimes indeed it will show the captcha. Still it is unclear when it is shown. When captcha is filled in correctly it will not ask for it for the next visits.
2009-02-04 17:54
pipluploverThe owner of PP has placed captcha only on certain adoptables that he assumes(maybe some code that catches quick level ups) are using an external CE. Here is a quote from him.

"In fact, currently there are less than 30 adoptables that have a Captcha applied to them. 30/1,000,000 does not equal all"
2009-02-04 19:17
utopia.lvWhat do you think - may be I should reduce daily click limit for each link to 30 or 50 visits a day? Currently it is set to 100.
2009-02-04 19:57
pipluploverI did some further testing. If an adoptable gets many levels/visits, 4 or more, in a span of just a few seconds, then the captcha would appear. This is in fact a coding put in place. At this point, a limit of 100 or 50 would not matter since the captcha would still appear. I believe the only way to avoid captcha is to set intervals of how many levels an adoptable could receive if that is possible.
2009-02-04 22:19
utopia.lvPossibility to receive 3 or more visits within a few seconds for one link is very small. Because everyone starts exchange at different time and visit links at different speed.

Intervals are not possible to set, but I could probably enable random factor - for example 5% or 10% chance that someone will visit the link within exchange session. That would delay link visits and probably solve the case.
2009-02-05 04:45
FirstborndragonActually the CAPCHA says that if you're using an automation program, it's already been counted. I have no way to test this mind you but that's what the page said when I hit it right now checking the site.
2009-02-05 06:04
FirstborndragonSince I just managed to pull it up again, here's the exact wording:

'If you have come here from an external link exchange: there is no need to complete the above test. Your link exchange has already counted your click. You can press back on your browser and still get the credit!'

Now I'm not sure if that means the CE gets credit only or if the pokemon gets credit as well.
2009-02-05 08:23
utopia.lvNo, it will not level up adoptable when the message is shown.
2009-02-05 10:10
utopia.lvI enabled randomizer function for PokePlushies links.
Now chance to visit PokePlushies link is 5% within each exchange session. It will help to spread out visits.
2009-02-08 06:26
FirstborndragonI think PP is adding the captcah automatically to any link coming from this site now. I JUST added an egg, checked it, and the caphcha was on, without me even getting a hit.
2009-02-08 16:06
utopia.lvI'll investigate that, how it is possible for them to know that clicks come from this exchange.
2009-02-09 13:06
DanPokeplushies has been disabled untill "we" or rather Utopia can figure a way to get the visits to count and find a way around the problems we currently have.

Untill then please be patient - any ideas welcome.

Dan
2009-02-09 18:38
AndrewI've got an idea. Give up.

I'm going to keep coming up with new ways to make your site useless. My game will not be over-run by an auto clicking link exchange.
2009-02-09 19:35
DanAndrew,

If PokePlushies is your site and you do not want this site to visit "your" links, then all you need to do is pm Utopia or a moderator and ask that your links not be used.

We at Utopia do not want to cause any problems, so on behalf of the website I apologise, but if you could get in touch with Utopia http://utopia.lv/exchange/?do=pm&w=new&to=utopia.lv I am sure he can arrange that your site doesnt get used in the future.

We do not intentionally by pass any precautions you have set up.

Utopia awaits your communication.

Dan
