Copy and paste that to your address bar. I need help; I have no idea. Now, I have to click "Start: every time again when the IP Change doesn't happen. T_T |
2009-06-25 22:36 | Dan | At the risk of sounding completly stupid.
What do you have set in TOOLS, ADDONS and Options for supermode? Also another question, do you know what internet connection you have? and weather you can possibly change IP addresses. Dan |
2009-06-26 18:46 | Asatone | Ohkay, I have Supermode on.
And I have IP automation on. I have Cable Modem 10mbps from Comcast. |
2009-06-26 19:07 | utopia.lv | Before using IP change automation with Supermode, you have to find out the way how to change IP address manually. Then you make a batch file to change IP address and point Supermode extension to it (example: c:\change_ip.bat). |
2009-06-26 19:35 | Asatone | Hmm.
No idea. Can you give me a mini Tut/rundown on what to do ? If you do that, it would be big help ! :D |
2009-06-26 20:39 | utopia.lv | Please see automation help page.
In case you did not know - not every IP address can be changed. Some connections are static with predefined IP addresses. |
2009-06-30 20:13 | Zamirathe | I have Comcast and to change my ip is a pain in the rear. As far as I can tell, this can not be automated. I have a wireless router so this is what I have to do.
First, change the mac address on the router to one of the computers in my house and save. Second, turn off and unplug the modem for 15 seconds then plug back in and let it boot up. Third, restart the computer. Unfortunately I have not found a way to do an ip /release and ip /renew once changing the mac address from my router. It doesn't give me that option I'm afraid. If you found of a way to change your ip automatically with Comcast and router, I would love to know how. |
2009-06-30 21:28 | utopia.lv | Unplugging the modem and plugging it back in is hard task to automate indeed. :)
May be it is possible to release IP address and request a new one from the router (with or without MAC address change). Also I did not understand why did you set MAC address on the router the same as already in your LAN. That way the connection between the router and PC should not work. |
2009-06-30 21:41 | Zamirathe | I set for one of my computers because I don't have the clone mac address in my router control panel. I have only changed the ip once.
I have not seen a way to have the router send to the cable modem the commands ip /release or ip /renew. I do know that Comcast keeps the mac addresses that you last used and reassigns you ip addresses based on that mac address. That is why I have to change the mac address of the router. |
2009-06-30 21:59 | utopia.lv | Does changing MAC address on the router and rebooting it help?
Just guessing as I have no experience with modems. :) |

Ohkay, I have still not found it.. I went to Supermode Options and just typed in "c:\change_ip.bat".. Let's see if that works. |
2009-07-02 22:27 | Zamirathe | Well, I found a way to do a release and renew from the admin page of my router. I haven't tried it yet since it is the middle of the day and two other people are connected to the network. If it can be automated, it will have to be a recorded macro of mouse clicks I think. |
